Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America, is an actress and a singer. Bell was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier), Nurse, and Tom Bell, a television news director. The mother of Kristen is Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen's passion for acting was found at a young age. Her role was as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after going to the first audition. Bell's mother established her with an agent prior to her turning 13 and she was cast for television and newspaper commercials. In addition, Bell started taking acting lessons privately. Bell was credited with a minor part in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School where she was involved in music as well as drama. She was cast as Dorothy in the production for high school in The Wizard of Oz. Following graduation, Bell made the move into New York City to attend prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, where she was a musical theater student. Bell, who graduated in 2001, resigned her college studies in order to take on in the role of Becky on Tom Sawyer. Bell made her debut film credits in Pootie Tang at the beginning of 2001. Her scene, however, was trimmed and now her appearance only appears in the final credits. Bell was in Broadway on Broadway in The Crucible, a revival that featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
