Linda Edna Cardellini (n e Lorraine (Hernan), was the daughter of Wayne David Cardellini (a businessman) in Redwood City. She comes from Italian, German (from the paternal maternal grandmother), Irish and Scottish heritage. Linda was raised in San Francisco Bay and grew to be the youngest among four kids. Her previous roles included the role of Lady Rose MacClare as part of the period drama Downton Abbey. James went on portraying the role of Countess Natasha Rostova for the television adaptation War & Peace (2016). He also starred as Baby Driver (2017) and in period dramas Darkest Hour (2017) and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (18) as well as The Dig (2021), and musicals Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018) and Yesterday (2019). The portrayal she gave of Pamela Anderson for the biographical show Pam & Tommy in 2022 was recognized with Golden Globes as well as the Primetime Emmy Awards.
