Awkwafina began as an American musician and rapper making sly songs that addressed questions of race and sexuality with a humorous twist. Prior to her move into Hollywood, she had the opportunity to make a few songs. Nora Lum began her musical career as a musician on the trumpet. Her birthplace was Forest Hills Queens, she was the daughter of Chinese immigrants and Korean immigrants. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop education began when she was just a teenager. While in college, she took classes in journalism and women's studies. Then, she even had some time learning Mandarin at the University of Beijing. The focus changed to music only after she graduated. My Vag, her track My Vag which was her response to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick, became a huge hit across the Internet and was later featured on her first LP Yellow Ranger. It also contained popular hits that went viral, such as body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown New York Bitche$. The final track was connected directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide released in the year 2015. The singer decided to make acting careers after having completed her two previous ventures as a musician and author. She's appeared in movies like Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. In the year 2018, her breakout performances included Dude Ocean's 8, as well as Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released in June.
